Death Grips' first album, "The Money Store", was released on Epic Records in February 2012. It received critical acclaim and charted on the Alternative, Heatseekers, and Rap albums charts. After the album's release, Death Grips planned to embark on a thirty-date worldwide tour. After the tour, they headed back into the studio and began working on their sophomore album.
